We are giving you the chance to hire our venue in Devon with the freedom to run your own event. This means you can create exactly the vibe you are after. I will of course still be available to you at any time for advice and am very happy to help you plan your wedding. Plus, we will be on site for any troubleshooting during your event.

Festival – Themed – Rustic- Alternative – Boho wedding venue in Devon
We’re situated in a sheltered, stunning valley near the beautiful thatched village of Broadhembury in the Blackdown hills of Devon.
Celebrate without curfews in our fairyland gardens and paddocks on our farm in Devon, surrounded by trees, and gorgeous countryside.
Our mixed flock of VERY tame pet sheep will be your only spectators!
The area is yours for setting up from the Thursday until midday Monday .

- All lighting in the marquee (festoons, paper lanterns and uplights)
- Festoon lighting throughout venue
- A separate funky bohemian barn with a fully equipped bar, including glasses, where you can run your own free or donation bar. We do provide one bar staff.

- A wooden open fronted field kitchen for your catering – fully stocked with ovens and everything required. Gas costs are included
- A fully stocked cabin kitchen with an additional undercover area
- A covered pagoda style bbq with 2 large cooking grills, worktops, and large fridge.
- A large walk in chiller with multiple shelving and plenty of storage for food and drinks
- A beautifully tiled sunroom with a separate shower exclusively for the use of the Bride and Bridesmaids on the Saturday morning
- Large lawns to lay out games, picnic tables, blankets etc
- A large firepit – all you need to do is bring your own wood
- The loo and shower block with a separate men’s urinal is seconds away.

Ceremony
We have a really lovely ceremony area with a gorgeous arch perfect for your own decoration. We don’t perform the legal bit here so it’s great to have one of your friends of family run the ceremony. It makes it so much more relaxed and fun. Or you may prefer the idea of hiring a celebrant to perform your ceremony. People normally have a small registry office ceremony just with family members a few days before, but then run the ceremony here as if it is the real thing. Exchanging rings and making vows with the beautiful back drop of woodlands and fields is truly amazing!
Supplies for your boho wedding venue in Devon
We obviously provide almost everything you need, but if you do bring anything in from any other companies, could you please make sure that I have a copy of their public liability insurance. For example, any additional lights, sound equipment, bouncy castle etc. Any bands you book, or caterers will also need to do this.
Catering
As far as catering is concerned you can do as much as you like yourselves, or get caterers in to run the whole thing for you. Our field kitchen is fully equipped with a large oven and warming oven, fridge, freezer, sinks and more. Or you may prefer to have a catering van. Or of course there is our large covered bbq which has been used to cater for 150 people.
For crockery (incl vintage), cutlery and glasses we use Stuart Marasco of A Nice Clean Plate. Again, he couldn’t be more helpful, his prices are extremely competitive and he is always smiling! Just let me know if you would like me to put you in touch with him. A setting for each person for the main meal plus dessert and a wine and water glass is approx. £2 per person. This is all then taken away dirty.

Full public liability insurance will be included within your costs.
The Nitty Gritty
For our unique boho wedding venue in Devon and everything listed above we charge £10,500
We don’t have many rules!
- We do ask that all outside music finishes by 1am, but you are welcome to carry on in the bar for as long as you like.
- The venue must be left clean.
- All equipment that you have hired or brought in must be off site by Sunday pm or before you leave.
Just one important point to make for the peace of mind of our sheep is that we cannot have fireworks or chinese lanterns here.
Our Marquee
Our tent measuring, 9m x 18m, is cradled in a gorgeous spot between an oak tree and a weeping willow. It has a pleated ivory lining, a wooden floor, and warm white festoon lighting with dimmers, uplighters and lantern lights. Also a 6m x 3m stage. You can choose whether you have a more traditional feel, or jazz it up into something completely different.
ENTERTAINMENT AND MUSIC
In addition to your music, you are welcome to bring face painters, story tellers, children’s craft areas, poi, drummers, workshops, yoga sessions, whatever you want. No bright lights will come on at 1am abruptly ending your wedding! You and your runny mascara will not be horribly exposed!
